im pretty sure you use something called wad manager but i couldnt figure out how to install that cause all the tutorials i watched did a (for a lack of better words) terrible job of explaining it in general. I have the japanese wad of OOT but i cant for the life of me figure out how to actually play it on a wii. Select Free Game Selection to freely inject a ROM or freely patch it with a patch file for any Wii VC WAD file you have. modmii helps you build a nand on your hard drive, you define that location in showmiiwads. i'm a bit fuzzy, it's been a while.you right click the wads you want to install, install to nand. you need to alternate between the tab saying showmiiwads and the same one saying showmiinand. I got the homebrew channel and the homebrew browser but thats pretty much useless for playing wads and stuff like that. if you have a look on here for how to use showmiiwads, you'll find something. Install wads with a wad manager: WiiFlow Forwarder and WiiFlow loader channel v2 to all nands, neek2o to real nand, back to nand to Emunands. Choose Nand Emulation Device (leave 'disabled' to install to WADs to the Wiis real Nand). i can see custom firmwares coming real soon.

you can also get the opera channel for free too. By installing a WAD file onto the wii, this will give you the game and the wii will automatically think you own it (bought it) and you can even download it again from the shop channel.

I also own the Virtual console copy on my wii, but its in english which is so significantly slower to run its not even worth it. Select the device where you have saved the WADs. Basically, wad files are vc games, channels, and firmwares. I actually could buy a japanese copy of the N64 release, but im pretty sure the n64 is region locked.

Ever since I began speedrunning OOT Any%, ive always wanted a better and more "legit" way to play the game and record it like using an N64 or Wii or whatever.
